A Lovely Day Out at Kishine Koen with Kai

The other day, I took Kai to Kishine Koen — a charming park located about a 20-minute drive from our house. The weather was unexpectedly warm for this time of year, hitting around 23°C, which is quite rare, especially considering the forecast was predicting snow later in the week! It felt like a perfect little gift from nature to enjoy some sunshine and fresh air.

Kishine Koen is a wonderful spot, especially if you’re looking for a family-friendly place to unwind. The park features a beautiful duck pond where you can watch ducks paddling peacefully, which Kai absolutely loved. There’s also a sandpit where kids can dig and build, perfect for little hands full of energy and imagination.

What really stood out was the adventure playground — a fantastic area packed with slides, climbing frames, and swings that kept Kai busy and entertained for hours. It’s the kind of playground that sparks a child’s curiosity and encourages physical activity in a safe and fun environment.

Aside from the playground, the park has plenty of green spaces where we could sit and relax, watch the clouds, and just enjoy the warmth of the day. It was one of those simple, perfect afternoons that make you appreciate the small joys of life.

If you’re ever nearby and looking for a peaceful yet fun outdoor spot for the kids, I’d highly recommend Kishine Koen. It’s a lovely escape into nature, close enough to home to be convenient but far enough to feel like a little adventure.
